Of the really ugly sheep counter.
But it is useful! I’d like it more if it weren’t so darned ugly though.
What can you expect, it was “free,” (except the magazine was way more expensive than it ought to have been . . . )

So, ya’ll wanna see the purse now?
Betcha do, ’cause I made it!

So, the Binary scarf is coming along, and I thought this blog needed some (crappy) pictures.
Here be . . .

That there is all thanks to all the Harry Potter Movies, Moulin Rouge, and Babel.

Oh, and here’s a pile of “Give the People What they Want:

First off – Thanks for all the comments and compliments! I think I’m gonna like this blogstalking thing!

Secondly – It was skydiving actually. I do want to go paragliding now! Seeing as the parachute part was my favorite part. The freefall . . . not so much. Scariest experience of my life.

Third – Job isn’t all that exciting, unfortunately, black and white usually. And boring, tied back hair. I did the Halloween costume the way I did specifically to annoy one boss. I’m an evil person.

i’m a mom and i just gotta say: thank the gourd you *finally* have normal hair!!!”

Lol, that’s what my dad said . . . I did ask them first! They said whatever, not believing me. Now the answer to anything I ask is “Like hell.”

So who were you for Halloween? I want to say Sonja Blue…

Nothing in particular. Just a cheerful annoyance. Too bad I don’t have a decent close up of the makeup though . . .

So, the Knitty board stalkers want to know who everyone is . . .
So who am I?
I am an employee, and go to work looking like this, on occasion:

(The occasion being halloween, of course)
I am a student, and go to school looking like this:

(But only for a few months in grade 10.)
More recently, I look a bit more normal, but also a bit geekier

(Programming lego to do stuff is neat!)
For fun, I do silly things, like this:

And make stuff like these:

I live in a place where this cuts us off from the world:

I love this music video:

And have my own logo:

And, oh yeah, I went to prom and felt very pretty:

There is a Knitty up that I haven’t seen! Because it is new. I love a lot of the patterns, and am refraining (barely) from running out to buy yarn to cast-on. . .
I’ve already got too many neglected WIPs. Must . . . refrain. . . .

And I’ve got 20% of the Binary Scarf done now! Almost a full message written! Just 4 more rounds, then repeat, repeat, repeat, sometimes backwards. Gonna be fun!

Up to 17% on the scarf, through yet another HP movie.
Once I get through those, onto LoTR I think, then Star Wars, then . . . I don’t know. Something else with sequels, though. Back to the Future?

Oh, man, I’m digress into 1337-speak.
How unfortunate.
But 14%!!!
I’m 14% done the binary scarf!
That means I’m down to 2-ish days of consecutive knitting to get that scarf done!

I’ve also recently talked to the bf, and have him searching for a decent camera for me so that I can get this blog a little more alive using pictures.
Then I’ll have a decent reason to make a FO page to add on, and then I’ll have motivation to actually create those FO’s.

I’ve also cast on, and knit about 2 inches of the first sleeve on the cardi. Big ribbing, big yarn, big needles, and only one colour. It’s a nice break from that scarf. And all while watching Harry Potter. It’s a good series to knit by, for me. I know the story well enough to not need to actually watch, so knitting is a viable option. Plus, there are a lot more movies in the series.

I’ve finished the second front half of the “Give the people what they want” cardi from The Yarn Girl’s Guide to Simple Knits!
Just the sleeves and finishing to go!

I need to get a decent camera so that I can upload pics here. I have no macro setting on the one I’m using, so they all turn out badly. That is now on the list of things to buy when I’m visiting Greg.

I’m teaching my little sister to knit! She is doing quite well, despite my horrible choice of yarn for her.
She is making a scarf for Bear.

So, I have successfully created a three (so far) page blog.
1. The Land of the Knit-a-Saur where the Knit-a-Saur talks about knitting (and a lot of geek blog stuff too, apparently)
2. Dianna-Saurus Rex where the Knit-a-Saur becomes Dianna-Saurus Rex and talks about everything and anything else.
3. Dianna-Saurus Rex and the Knit-a-Saur read! Where Dianna-Saurus Rex and the Knit-a-saur team up to talk about anything reading related.

Soon to be created, once there are pictures, is a Finished Objects page, to show off knitting projects, the duct tape wallets, t-shirt bags, beading stuff, well anything that is finished really.

Enough bragging about the simple geek stuff: updates on the WIP

On the Moon is getting nowhere. It’s sitting there, all soft on the needles waiting for attention. Hopefully it will be done for when it is needed. :D

The Legwarmers are also getting nowhere. However, I’m sure they will be picked up and have a few inches done here and there and eventually get finished without seeming to have ever actually gotten anywhere.

The poor Eyelet Scarf has been waiting for attention all summer. It’s in the same boat as the Legwarmers, I think.

“Give the People What They Want” Sweater is having better luck. I managed to get most of the second half of the front done yesterday and today.

And, last but not least, the Binary Scarf is chugging along, no new mistakes so far, getting the most attention of any of the WIP’s. I think it the WIP equivalent of a teachers pet.
